Caraway pta reflections PROGRAM 2023-2024

Calling all students! It’s time to have fun and let your creative side shine! Submit an entry to the Reflections Program and explore your own feelings, thoughts and ideas on the theme “I am Hopeful Because”.

Each year, over 300,000 students across the country in grades Pre-K to 12 create original works of art for the Reflections Program. Be part of this 50+ year tradition and have your work showcased at Caraway and possibly across the country!

We are in need of impartial judges to help us on 10/29/23 in the afternoon. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Erin at erintharry@gmail.com.

Who can participate?

  • Any Caraway student, grades PK-5, of any skill level or ability
  • One parent of the student MUST be a member of the Caraway PTA. Not sure if you're a member? Email Kara at carawaypta.programs@gmail.com. Need to join? Click here (link to registration page)

  • All students must complete the Student Entry Form (must be 100% complete)
  • All entries must include a title and an artist statement. The artist statement communicates what inspired the work, how it relates to the theme, and the content of the work. The statement must include 10-100 words.
  • All entries must be the product of the participating student’s creativity! Help from an adult (except in the Special Artist Division) is not allowed
  • Each entry must be the original work of one student only!
  • Other individuals may appear in or perform a student’s work, but the work itself must be the creative product of one student only.
  • Use of copyrighted material is prohibited, except for recorded music in dance choreography and film production entries. Use of background music must be cited on the student entry form. Plagiarized entries will be disqualified. Plagiarism is defined as taking and using another person’s ideas, writings, or inventions as one’s own. Use of PowerPoint templates are prohibited.
